Liocyma fluctuosum (Gould A.A., 1852)
A very common benthic bivalve mollusk of arctic seas.
Size
- Length to 43 mm. Adults usually 23-30 mm.
Color
- Periostracum yellowish-gray to greenish, shiny.
- Inside – white.
Habitat & Distribution
- On different types of sediments from silty to sandy sediments, often with gravel or stones.
- Sublitoral mainly.
- Widespread boreal-arctic
