Color & Characteristics
- clear translucent, with white or blue hues
- 11-12 marginal tentacles in 16 groups (easily broken)
- 8 radial canals
- top of bell smoothly rounded
Habitat
- Primarily Arctic, with records in the subarctic Atlantic
- Meso/bathypelagic, ROV observations between 400 and 1400 m, while plankton nets suggest peaks between 1000-2000 m, with limited deepr records
Feeding
- Diet is unknown
Life cycle
- Details are unknown, but likely holoplanktonic, without a polyp stage
